Section 1
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words carry the meanings set out below unless the context requires otherwise.
- "Tabungo", "we", "us", "our" refers to Tabungo, a financial education provider registered and operating in Malaysia, with its principal place of business at Level 5, Wisma Genting, 28 Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur.
- "Service" or "Services" means any educational workshop, programme, or course offered by Tabungo, including the Comfortable Money Living Workshop, the Steady Living Planning Programme, and the Retiree Finance Foundations Course.
- "Participant" or "you" refers to any individual who registers for, enrols in, or attends a Tabungo Service.
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions together with any enrolment confirmation issued by Tabungo.
- "Materials" means all printed or digital content provided during or in connection with a Service, including worksheets, journals, toolkits, and reference folders.
- "Fee" means the service fee stated at the time of enrolment, expressed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
Section 2
Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or attending any Tabungo Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with enrolment.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in a Tabungo Service.
- Where a third party (such as a family member) registers on your behalf, both that person and you are deemed to have accepted these Terms.
- Tabungo reserves the right to decline an enrolment request without providing a reason.
Section 3
Service Description
Tabungo provides general financial education services for retirees in Malaysia. All Services are educational in nature and are not regulated financial advice, investment advice, or any other form of personalised financial guidance regulated under Malaysian law.
- Services are currently offered in person at Level 5, Wisma Genting, 28 Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur.
- Services are conducted in English. Participants should have a comfortable working knowledge of English to benefit fully.
- Session dates, times, and group sizes are determined by Tabungo and communicated at the time of enrolment.
- Tabungo may change session format, venue, or facilitator where circumstances require, with reasonable notice to enrolled participants.
Section 4
Enrolment & Payment
Enrolment in a Tabungo Service is confirmed only upon receipt of the full service fee unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed in advance.
- Service fees are as stated on the Tabungo website and in written enrolment confirmations: RM 470 for the Comfortable Money Living Workshop; RM 1,480 for the Steady Living Planning Programme; RM 3,700 for the Retiree Finance Foundations Course.
- Fees are stated and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
- Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of enrolment and may include bank transfer and selected electronic payment platforms.
- Tabungo reserves the right to adjust fees for future cohorts. Any adjustment will not affect confirmed enrolments for which payment has been received.
- A receipt or enrolment confirmation will be issued within three business days of payment being received.
Section 5
Cancellation & Refunds
Tabungo understands that plans may change. The following cancellation terms apply.
- Cancellation by Participant — more than 14 days before the first session: A full refund will be issued, less any bank or transaction fees incurred.
- Cancellation by Participant — 7 to 14 days before the first session: A 50% refund of the service fee will be issued.
- Cancellation by Participant — fewer than 7 days before the first session: No refund will be issued. Participants may, at Tabungo's discretion, transfer their enrolment to a future cohort.
- Cancellation by Tabungo: If Tabungo cancels a session or programme before it commences, a full refund will be issued within 10 business days. Tabungo will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Participant.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
- No refund will be issued for sessions missed by the Participant after the programme has begun.
Section 6
Participant Conduct
Tabungo aims to create a calm, respectful, and supportive learning environment. All participants are expected to contribute to that atmosphere.
- Participants should arrive on time and engage in sessions with courtesy toward other participants and facilitators.
- Recording of sessions by audio or video means is not permitted without prior written consent from Tabungo.
- Participants must not distribute, reproduce, or share any Materials provided during a Service for commercial purposes.
- Behaviour that is disruptive, offensive, or disrespectful to others may result in removal from the session without refund.
- Participants acknowledge that Tabungo's educational content is for general information purposes and does not constitute personal financial advice.
Section 7
Intellectual Property
All content developed by Tabungo, including but not limited to course materials, worksheets, journals, toolkits, reference folders, methodologies, and website content, is the intellectual property of Tabungo and is protected under Malaysian copyright law.
- Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use Materials for their own private, non-commercial purposes.
- Materials may not be copied, shared, adapted, or distributed to third parties without prior written permission from Tabungo.
- The Tabungo name, logo, and associated branding are protected marks. You may not use them without written consent.

Disclaimers
Tabungo's Services are provided for general educational purposes only. Nothing in any Tabungo Service constitutes financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.
- Tabungo is not licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia or Bank Negara Malaysia to provide regulated financial advice.
- Participants are strongly encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser, lawyer, or other qualified professional before making any personal financial decisions.
- Tabungo makes no representations or warranties that attendance at any Service will produce specific financial outcomes for any Participant.
- Services are provided on an "as is" basis. While Tabungo takes care in the preparation of all Materials and sessions, we do not warrant that content is complete, accurate, or up to date at all times.
Section 9
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tabungo's total liability to a Participant arising out of or in connection with any Service shall not exceed the service fee paid by that Participant for the relevant Service.
- Tabungo shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage, including loss of income, loss of savings, or loss of opportunity, however arising.
- Tabungo shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, public health emergencies, utility failures, or government directives.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Section 10
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tabungo and its officers, employees, and facilitators from and against any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of this Agreement or your conduct during a Tabungo Service.
Section 11
Termination
Either party may end the enrolment relationship subject to the cancellation and refund terms set out in Section 5.
- Tabungo may remove a Participant from a programme immediately if their conduct breaches Section 6, without obligation to issue a refund.
- Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 12 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination.
Section 12
Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal discussion between the parties.
- If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days of written notice, the dispute may be referred to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre (MMC).
- If mediation does not resolve the matter, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
- Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
Section 13
General Provisions
- Entire agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Tabungo in relation to the relevant Service and supersedes all prior communications on the same subject.
- Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Tabungo's failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision at a later time.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement. Tabungo may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a business transfer, with notice to enrolled participants.
- Notices: Notices to Tabungo should be sent in writing to [email protected] or to the postal address in Section 15. Notices to Participants will be sent to the email address provided at enrolment.
Section 14
Changes to Terms
Tabungo may update these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will notify enrolled Participants by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- Continued attendance at a Tabungo Service after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms.
- The current version of these Terms is always available on the Tabungo website.
- If you do not accept an updated version, you may cancel your enrolment in accordance with Section 5 before the updated Terms take effect.
